Counselling
Counselling
It can be a big step to decide to look at what is going on in your life, either professionally or personally. Sometimes this is an uncomfortable journey, but it can also be liberating, life defining and enormously rewarding.
My diverse health and education backgrounds inform my counselling practice and enables me to support you in sensitive, caring and holistic ways that help you explore, reflect, process and find ways forward. I use a variety of proven strategies (narrative, fACT, compassion, strengths based, Havening Techniques ®), so as to be able to work with you in ways that are meaningful and effective.
You can expect a robust, respectful, confidential and flexible counselling service where NZAC ethics are upheld (see www.nzac.org.nz for these and limitations on confidentiality). Your feedback to enhance outcomes is always appreciated and will be sought during sessions so as to make sure you are in the centre of your session. Any concerns can be discussed directly with me but you can also access the NZAC Complaints process (www.nzac.org.nz) or speak to my Supervisor (name will be supplied on request).
My basic premise in working with you is that the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem;
and truth sets us free.
